EA Sports FIFA22, alongside the official Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has announced their new Global Series!
Electronic Arts (EA) has announced the latest EA FIFA22 Global series. Like we have seen with Formula 1, the electronic sporting series has proven to be even more successful due to the pandemic. As a result, fans & players alike are turning their attention to the digital, with the esports scene generating colossal followings.
The Global series is going to be massive. 1v1 & 2v2 tournaments, starting with qualifiers from all over the world. It is almost like the real global game if you don't know too much about how EA FIFA22 works. First, teams and players from different countries compete in qualifiers and group stages before heading to the playoffs, to name the best EA FIFA22 players in the world.
With the release of the latest generation of consoles, it looks like EA has teamed up with Sony to make it a PlayStation exclusive. It is a fascinating decision but understandable. It is to ensure that the playing field is consistent and that everyone competing has the same experience, however, there must have been some closed-door discussions; it is a business after all.
There are three competitions in the lead up to the FIFAe World Cup 2022. The FIFAe Club Series 2022, FIFAe Nations Series 2022 & the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series. All three series and the world cup are anticipated to attract millions of players. Just like the global game, people from around the world love playing Electronic Art's FIFA, just as much as they like playing the actual game.
The potential of the EA & FIFA collaboration is immense, and we would expect even more ideas, more ways to compete and more ways to engage as the season and the future of FIFA esports evolves.
The top of the series kicks off at the end of November, and you can get further details about countries and rules here.
